Dragon Palace Cave Scenic Spot

Dragon Palace is a national scenic area that is 27 kilometers away from Anshun City of Guizhou Province. It has the longest water limestone cave, the highest waterfall and the lowest natural radiation rate. Therefore, Dragon Palace is regarded as the “Three Most” in China. Near the dragon palace scenic area, Xuantang is famous for “Three Best”—the marvelous water, many short rivers and large Buddha in the cave. When you enter it, you may feel just like entering a paradise on earth.

This scenic spot covers caverns, caves and waterfalls, including four patches – Dragon Palace (龙宫), Rape Lake (油菜湖), Xuantang (漩塘) and Leech (蚂蟥). In the center area of the dragon palace, you can visit Wolong Lake (卧龙湖), Yingbing (welcome the guests) Cave (迎宾洞), Dragon Gate Waterfall (龙门飞瀑), Longtan Tianchi (龙潭天池), Dragon Palace Dark Lake (龙宫暗湖), Clam’s Shell Rocks (蚌壳岩) and Tiger’s Den Cave (虎穴洞).

It is like a crystal palace where the dragon king lived in the mythology. The Tianchi is a beautiful small waterfall just among the caves. You can call it Longtan (Dragon Lake). The waters are falling from those caves swiftly along with the walls. The width is 25 meters and the height is 50 meters. This wonderful place is Dragon Gate. It’s said that dragon gate is the most spectacular waterfall among all the underground waterfalls in China. Therefore, tourists must pay a visit to there.
