Hong Kong Science Museum

Have Fun and Learn at the Hong Kong Science Museum

Hong Kong has a number of different attractions for visitors, from amusement parks and zoos to aquariums, historical sites and nightlife. One of the places that you can't miss while on vacation in Hong Kong, especially if you are traveling with children, is the Hong Kong Science Museum.

The museum houses quite a few interesting things to see and do. You and the kids are both sure to have a great time while visiting.

The World of Mirrors is a fun and popular exhibit that incorporates mirrors set up in unique ways to give off some interesting reflections. You will literally see yourself in entirely new ways after visiting this section.

The Children's Zone is a great place for the kids to learn all about science. Learn about surface tension and upward thrust with the power of bubbles, and learn how trains keep from derailing. The little ones are sure to have a great time with all of the hands on exhibits.

See Hong Kong's first airliner, and then take a ride on the flight simulator. Learn how the world is getting smaller and tighter knit with all the advances in telecommunications in the Telecommunications Gallery. From the earliest forms of communicating with lights and smoke to the wireless technology of today, there is a lot to see and understand here.

In the motion section of the museum, you can see and learn how a ball loses energy as it bounces, and then see how a bed of nails works by dispersing the weight across a greater surface area.

Aside from the permanent exhibits, there are also special exhibits at the museum. One of the most popular exhibits showing is called The Deep. It details the strange creatures that live deep within the ocean, in places where the light doesn't reach. The weird, alien creatures here are sure to fascinate you no matter your age.

With all of the great exhibits at the museum, you can be sure to find something that interests every member of the family. The Hong Kong Science Museum is a great place to spend the day, a place where you can have fun and learn.

Whatever attractions seem to suit your taste, you are going to need to find a great place to stay while on your vacation. You can choose from any number of great hotels in the Hong Kong area.
