Shanghai Jin Jiang Amusement Park

Jin Jiang is the Premier Amusement Park in Shanghai

Shanghai is an amazing place to visit, and every vacationer who makes their way to the city can find any number of great things to do. From climbing to the top of the Oriental Pearl Tower and gazing across the river at The Bund to eating some authentic Chinese food at one of the many restaurants in the city, no one would ever be at a loss for activities.

One of the most popular places to visit for those visiting Shanghai for the first time, or for those visiting with children, is the Jin Jiang Amusement Park.

Founded in 1984, Jin Jiang Amusement Park is the largest amusement park in Shanghai, and it is also one of the best known and most visited. The park is located in the Meilong district in the southwest portion of the city.

The park combines not only amusement rides, but also restaurants, hotel facilities, and transportation, making it a great stop for vacationers. It offers both indoor and outdoor entertainment as well as music. The park has become a huge attraction both to travelers and to those who live in Shanghai. Because of its convenient location, many people choose to stay at the hotel that is part of (or one that is very near) the park.

The amusement park offers a number of different rides for people of all ages. Many of these rides were imported, and they include an auto-shuttle, a monorail, a fighter plane, a UFO simulator and more. Some of the most popular recent additions to the amusement park include the Huge Wheel, Joy Land, Canyon Raft Ride, Space Shot, and the famous Spinning Coaster. You can also find a haunted house to explore.

The smaller children are not left out of the fun either; there is a special playground build especially for children who are around preschool age.

The park also has some great places so you can take a break during your busy day of seeing the sights and riding the rides. You can also find teahouses and cafés that make a nice place to relax.

The water rides located in the Gorge Drifting Waterland area only operate during the summer, simply because the weather during the other parts of the year isn't warm enough.

When vacationing in Shanghai, you should make the Jin Jiang Amusement Park a part of your itinerary. It is a fun and relaxing getaway with rides, restaurants, shopping, and more.
