Hong Kong Ngong Ping 360 Tour

Experience the Ngong Ping 360 Tour on Lantau Island

Hong Kong is one of the most amazing travel destinations in the world, with a variety of things for vacationers to see and do. Great places to eat, great shopping, and great attractions abound. One of the most popular attractions the city offers is the Ngong Ping 360.

While the cable car that takes you to the top of Lantau Island is probably the most prominent feature of the Ngong Ping 360 tour, it offers far more. It is an experience that can't be missed.

The Ngong Ping Cable Car begins its 5.7-kilometer journey from Tung Chung and crosses over the beautiful Tung Chung Bay. There, you will encounter an angle station on Airport Island and head toward Lantau Island. The ride takes just under half an hour, and provides incredible views of the South China Sea as well as North Lantau Country Park. You will also be able to get a good view of the Tian Tan Buddha Statue. You will likely be surprised to see just how quickly the landscape changes from the hustle and bustle you experience in Hong Kong to the green, peaceful landscape you see in the nearby Lantau hills.

After the cable car ride is over, you will be faced with a number of options. What should you do first? Visit the gigantic statue of Buddha or visit the nearby village? The choice is yours, but first exploring the culturally themed Ngong Ping Village is probably the best place to begin your adventure.

You can find a host of different street performances in the village. Everything from jugglers, acrobats, and kung-fu demonstrations are on display.

Walking with Buddha is an experience you won't want to miss on your Ngong Ping 360 Tour. This multimedia exhibit allows you to follow the life of Siddhartha Gautama (who later became the Buddha). You can learn everything you ever wanted to know about Buddha, and how the religion spread around the world. This is a beautiful and enlightening exhibit.

If you get hungry and want to have an authentic Chinese meal, there is no better place to head than the Ngong Ping Garden Restaurant. It is renowned for its great food.

If you don't feel like having a meal, you could always visit the teahouse, which is located in a beautiful garden setting. This is also a great place to learn about the history of tea and observe traditional tea ceremonies.

A day spent on the Ngong Ping 360 Tour is a day you will never forget.
