Taiwan Travel and Tour

Five Fun Things to do in Taiwan

Taiwan, located just off mainland China, has plenty to offer visitors. No matter your idea of an ideal vacation, you will find something in Taiwan to enjoy.

Visit Hell Valley in taiwan

Hell Valley, which is located near New Beitou Park, got its name from the perpetual mist and sulfurous scent that surrounds the area. The reason for this mist is that there is a number of hot springs in the valley. While the sulfurous water may be intriguing and beautiful to look at, it is important to remember not to touch them – they are extremely hot and corrosive.

Leofoo Village Theme Park

This park, located in Longtan, is large enough that you would be hard pressed to see everything in a single day. There are four themed areas within the park: Arabian Kingdom, African Safari, South Pacific, and Wild West. Each of these themed areas has attractions and rides that fit the theme. Aside from the four themed areas, the park includes a zoo. This is a very popular destination, and one that you are sure to want to include in your vacation.

National Palace Museum

The National Palace Museum in Taipei is one of the most often visited places in Taiwan. It houses both art and artifacts. It is said to have the largest number of Chinese artifacts of any museum in the world. The exhibits showcase the artwork of China and the artifacts give visitors a true sense of history; the museum is easily worth a visit.

Diving, Snorkeling, and Sunbathing

The waters around many parts of Taiwan, with all the smaller islets, are great for scuba diving and snorkeling because they are usually very clear. There is coral to explore, as well as a variety of different types of marine life with which to become acquainted. You will also find a number of beaches on which you can relax and spend the day.

Hiking

When it comes to hiking, you can find a number of different trails all over the island that can accommodate people of all fitness levels. For the really ambitious, there is Jade Mountain, which begs to be climbed.

No matter what you are looking for in your vacation, you are sure to find plenty to keep you busy in Taiwan. Before booking your hotel, be sure to visit HotelsCombined.com for the best deals on your accommodations. It will take a lot of stress out of planning that perfect trip!
